On March 17, 2010 Pete Klebs from Healthy Homes Alaska installed an EZ Breathe whole house ventilation system model 400 in our basement. Since then it has performed as advertised and we have had no mechanical problems with it. The air in our house smells fresher and it has solved the mildew problem in our basement food storage room. We are very happy with all aspects of our transaction with Mr. Klebs and the EZ Breathe system. We had this installed as part of our energy efficiency rebate program. We spent time and money tightening up our leaky house, now we had to provide for better ventilation and this solved the problem. Sincerely, Bob Ellis and Judy Bolender

Did a great job clearing the snow from the driveway and walkway while we were out of town.

About 23 years ago, my wife and I bought a house in Anchorage that was built in 1951. Little had been done as far as renovations; it was drafty, and energy inefficient, to say the least. In the intervening years, we have done extensive renovations and now the house has a 5 star energy rating. However, as the house got tighter, issues with indoor air quality became more apparent. Of particular concern was excess condensation on the windows during the winter. Each morning, beginning in October, started with me gathering up the towels on the window sills, (some sopping wet from condensation), and putting them through the dryer. A couple of years ago, we installed, at great cost, an HRV heat exchange ventilation system hoping to alleviate the problem. But the system did little to lessen the problem and caused its own ancillary problems that caused us to turn it off altogether. Last fall, I was resigned to another 6 months of dealing with excessive moisture on window sills, and dealing with mold growing on walls and woodwork, but my wife suggested I call Healthy Homes Alaska and see what they had to offer. Pete explained the system and though I was skeptical it would totally eliminate the problem, I was desperate to try anything. It has been 6 months since the system was installed, it has been through an Alaskan winter, and the system has wildly exceeded my expectations. There is now little or no condensation on the windows, nor is there any of the mold present that was eating away at the sheetrock and woodwork. Also, the air quality in this old house is much improved. I would recommend the EZ breathe Ventilation System (and Pete Klebes) to anyone wanting a healthier living environment.
