- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have several pricing options! Tuition rates reflect the experience level of the teacher and the duration of lesson time. Monthly lesson tuition ranges from $125/month to $240/month. Instruction ranges from very intensive guitar lessons with a seasoned pro and custom curriculum, to saxophone or piano lessons with a college-educated musician who has taught high school band and been a church pianist, but is new to teaching private lessons. In certain cases, a student will have particular needs or desires and we will discuss something unique and different from our standard offerings. We will work out a pricing/scheduling arrangement that is completely customized for that student.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial consultation/introduction is scheduled so the student can get acquainted with the instructor and familiar with the studio environment. This time also gives us a chance to assess a student's musical background, individual interests, and unique needs ahead of starting lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our instructors are college educated in music, but also have real world playing experience. Performing publicly in bands, doing solo work, providing background accompaniment, song writing and arranging, or even ensemble conducting are components of our instructors' background, but you'll often find us just playing for fun to satisfy our own curiosity. We are well-versed in contemporary genres as well as classical music: together these differing styles collectively provide a broad knowledge base for each of us to draw on, and then to impart to our students.
