FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge standard industry rates for Individual Tax Return Preparation. Rates range from $175 at the lower end of the spectrum to $650 at the higher end. Rates depend on how complicated the taxes are; filing status, dependents, number of w-2s, if the clients need a schedule C, and if they itemize deductions will all play a role in pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take time to ask the client a series of questions to help me understand their tax situation and apply any credits or deductions. I offer remote service via zoom or whichever platform is suitable, obtain documents, verify identity, ask if they’d like to use any tax products, like pay with refund, and I read disclosures from my bank. I also ask for the client to bring their prior year tax return to the interview to help me best understand their situation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained and become an Intuit Tax Professional, I also participate in the Annual Filing Season Program, have completed Jackson Hewitt Tax School, and the H&R Block Tax Education Program and passed all assessments. I also am an Authorized EFile Provider via the IRS and will complete my Enrolled Agent Exam in May.
