FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The normal rate for my DJ services is $125/hr for the length of the event. If there is extensive travel involved, then the quote will reflect the additional travel time. Also, if there are multiple venues such as a wedding chapel and a wedding reception venue that are located in different locations, then the the quote will reflect that.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once the quote has been accepted, then a contract will be forwarded for signature to guarantee the date and time. At that time date(s) are set up for meeting(s) with the customer(s) to go over the desired music genre, format for the event and if possible a tour of the event facility. Communication is maintained all during the process so that there is no detail left undone.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When in college at Auburn University I was a DJ at WEGL, the campus radio station. Then, some 20 years ago I started providing music for friends parties as a hobby. Within a few months I got more and more requests so the hobby turned into a business.
