The Connection Band

Introduction: We offer R&B, Motown sounds, and hip-hop music for all occasions. The Connection Band was originated and led by Darryl Grayson in 1982. Formally, the band was the original house band recognized as The French Connection at a local night spot within downtown Birmingham, Alabama. From its beginning, Connection has a high-energy stage program that truly excites and delights the audience from start to end. We have a large, diverse variety of dance/club mix, ballads, classic R&B and 70s songs sure to satisfy every musical lover. We've opened for entertainers like Anita Baker, The Manhattans, The S.O.S. Phyllis Hyman, Band, Najee, The Temptations, Little Richard, Jennifer Holiday, and Betty Wright. Connection has performed in Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, California, Florida, Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana, and we will travel any distance.
