Goals
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: People can get exercise instruction anywhere these days. My goal is to create a healthy lifestyle change for every one of my clients. I provide a supportive and fun environment for women of all shapes and abilities to get fit, look great, and have a good time while doing so. I get to help people! It is literally what gets me out of the bed in the morning. I get up at 4:30 AM every day(not my favorite part), so if this was not a job I truly loved I couldn't make it. I have the best clients in the world and they keep me fired up and excited to come to work.

I have known Joe since 6th grade, which was just about forever ago for us. I re-found him through Facebook, where he regularly posts stories and encouragement about Huntsville Adventure Boot Camp. I have NEVER been in shape, nor have I been interested in fitness whatsoever AND I have bad knees, and Joe's blogs inspired me to find "Fit" in my life. I live in Birmingham, so I can't sign up for his regular camp, but I was lucky enough to catch his Thanksgiving day Boot Camp and it was AWESOME. Joe is patient and personable, and he gives plenty of options for alternate exercises for those of us with bad knees still working on becoming fit. When Joe tells you he cares about helping you find a way to like exercise, he is serious. When Joe tells you he will be there to hold you accountable, he will! I started Boot Camp in November, just signed up for my third Camp and Joe is the one I credit with my continued exercising. And I also found out that I actually like to workout!

A-MA-ZING! You HAVE to join Huntsville Adventure Boot Camp. Here's why: 1. It's a great experience and Joe Martin is a fantastic trainer. He helps you succeed at your fitness level. He cares about your health and is available to answer any kind of question you have. He is motivational and inspirational! 2. No matter what your fitness level - you can participate in boot camp. If you are just starting out or excercise 2 hours a day every day - you will gain a lot from participating in boot camp. There's always an alternate excercise you can do! The workouts are never the same - so you are always going to be doing something new and different. 3. Yes, it's early - but your excercise for the day is done! There's also a PM class now, if you just can't get up early. 4. The newsletters. I still get them even though I am not in boot camp right now. They are full of helpful hints, important information and yummy recipes. I read every single one! 5. You will feel amazing. Tired yes, but that really good kind of tired from getting a great workout and feeling good about imporving your health. I participated in boot camp for about 5 months straight last year. I never felt better! After a short break I got right back into it! I highly recommend Huntsville Adventure BootCamp and Joe Martin!

Joe's camp is a great way to get in shape or stay in shape! It's early but it's worth it-great music, lots of laughing and the exercising isn't even that bad. His special holiday family camps let your friends and loved ones share the experience and you get a cool T-shirt!

I signed up for my first Boot Camp with Joe Martin in October 2010 and have not stopped since. The workouts are never the same and I always feel challenged. He's high-spirited and positive and never builds you up by knocking you down. He's also great at holding you accountable and will contact you if you miss a class. His workouts are as difficult or as easy as you need them to be, and when I was hurt once, he was great at helping me adjust so I could still get a good workout while I healed. I can not recommend his class enough as evidenced by the fact that I have signed up for all of 2011.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was 50 pounds overweight, injured, and facing a crossroads in my life. Was I going to continue getting more and more out of shape and overweight, or was I going to make a change. Luckily I lost the weight, got in shape, and never looked back. I have since made it my mission to help others do the same because I know how hard it is to be overweight and out of shape. Plus I'm not very good at math, so that limited my professional options :)
