FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My services are all inclusive. The only additional charges are for matting on the pet or extreme behavioral issues with pet.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend at least 15 minutes during the first visit playing with the pup and allowing them to get to know me on their terms. I then take my time while working with them to ensure they feel comfortable and safe. I go at their speed and adjust my grooming process to suit their needs. I also welcome open conversation with their pet parents to see what kind of style they want, what their grooming needs are and where they feel they struggle. I then do whatever I can to set my client and their pet up for success with their hair goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained through a mentor at Petco. She now owns her own salon and is renowned in her town for her skills not only with grooming, but with nervous pets as well. I learned pet psychology, body language and silent cues from my time as her apprentice. I also network with local groomers as well as groomers world wide to learn new techniques, styles, new products, new training, and new skills. I don’t believe I will ever be done learning.
