Marcy is fantastic! I was quite nervous about hiring a new pet sitter but I could not be more pleased with Marcy!! She came out before our first pet sitting appointment to meet my three kitties and get the lay of the land. She texted me after each visit to let me know how they were doing, which was a huge relief for me. I will definitely be a return customer.

I'm available anytime, any day, and on holidays too! I do pet sitting, training, walking, breeding, birthing, and instructing your animal, whether it's getting ready to give birth or just needing to understand your animal. I am an amazing trainer, and I even work with police dogs and military dogs. Anything you need I can provide at a low-cost rate. I simply love animals and love to love them. I just started my own business because working for other people, I saw way to much abuse and/or neglect, so I started my own, where I am the one taking care of the animals for you, so there is no neglect or abuse. Your animal(s) are in the best-of-the-best hands with me and my fiance, Keith, who is my business partner does jobs for me if I am on a pet sitting/house-sitting job and cannot get to the job. We have many references, just email or call me, and I will gladly email or call you with them! The pay rate for 1 full day and that night is $30-$60 depending on how many animals you have and if there are extra requests (available) that I have to charge for, like cleaning the kennel once a day is $5, and walking one animal for 1 hour is $15, and if there are two animals to walk, I only charge an extra $10.

we care for fur babies like our own we have friendly staff

I will come and stay at your house while you are out of town and care for your pets. I will treat them as if they were my own pets. I will set up an appointment to come and meet the animals prior to the actual stay, so the animals will feel more secure when I come to take care of them.

I am a pet sitter who loves animals with a passion! I will come to your home while you are at work or on vacation. I will give your fur babies lots of TLC! I am available for the holidays. My rates are affordable.

I do in-home pet sitting, in sickness and in health. I'm qualified to administer meds for your pets. This is the healthy choice to avoid stress and illness boarding can cause. "Sleepovers" are charged an extra fee. I'm vet approved and have many references.

My veterinary grooming business was voted best grooming business in Memphis by the Commercial Appeal for the last 3 years.

I am a great pet sitter. I have five pets of my own. I walk and bath pets and more. I don't groom pets. Thanks.

I offer pet, house and animal sitting services. I have 15 years of experience in loving pets and all animals and house sitting. I have excellent references.

I do dog walking. If you're dog needs to be walked, I will do it for very affordable prices. You don't have to worry; it will be cheap!

I believe that I am the right person for this job because I am a very young teen and active when I can. I have my own pet dog and take him on daily walks through the park or around the neighborhood for about 30 min. to an hour. I groom him very well by giving him daily baths, good meals, nail filing and clipping and good exercise. I would really appreciate it if I were hired for this job because it would be my first. I am no professional, but I promise to do my very best. My services help guide me to my goals in the future, and I would appreciate if you would help me by letting me help you.

I'm young and very helpful to many people in Memphis. I want to have a summer job by sitting and walking cats and dogs.

I do awesome and wonderful cleaning, perfect laundry and dry folding, and I'm also a great animal groomer. I love my work, and I do it with perfection.

I walk dogs and cats. I bath dogs and feed them. I also play with them, and I take them to the park.

I believe my company stands out, because we have great pricing compared to kennels and boarding around town. We also go above and beyond the outlined services. All of our services are standard, but if you have a sick pet, or unruly, or there is belly problems, we aren't going to leave it for you when you get home. We will go ahead and clean it up or take care of it to the best of our abilities. Ex: We had a client with large number of dogs, all inside.... needless to say even with multiple trips not all were potty trained, everyday i cleaned up (with supplies). We watched for 4 days. On the 2nd and 4th day i brought over my mope and supplies and mopped the floor washed doggie beds straightened up etc.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is included in a dog grooming?

Dog grooming is so much more than giving your dog a bath. Dog grooming is a broad term that covers all aspects of canine cleanliness and hygiene. The services included in dog grooming will vary based on your needs and what you choose to pay. Unless they are rolling in cowpies or playing in mud puddles, most dogs are okay getting a shampoo bath only as needed. You’ll know when they need it if they smell bad or are bringing dirt into the house. Some dogs, like shepherds and shih tzus, have thick coats that can get matted and tangled without regular care. Pro dog groomers can deftly blow dry a dog’s hair after a bath so that it is shiny and smooth. Dog grooming can include brushing that detangles dog hair and also thins the undercoat to minimize shedding.

Dog grooming also includes hygiene services such as toothbrushing and ear cleaning. Clean teeth are important to the health of your dog, and the pros have the patience and proper technique to get it done. Regular dog grooming can stave off tear stains, those reddish stains below your dog’s eyes. Anal gland expression is something not many people want to do on their own, even if they love their dog. A dog groomer can safely and efficiently release any blocked anal gland fluid. Other dog grooming services include nail trimming and clipping. Nationally, dog grooming prices range from $60 to $80. Most dog groomers offer discounts to customers who purchase monthly packages or bundle multiple grooming services at one time.

Do cats have to get groomed?

It’s not crazy to have your cat groomed. Grooming will keep your cat’s fur soft and silky as well as give you early warning about any health concerns. Regular grooming can also help reduce the volume of hair your cat may be shedding and keep your longhair kitty cool if you live in a warm climate. Professionals competently groom your cat and are trained to manage them if they resist being groomed, while you may get scratched doing the same task. The national average price for cat grooming is $50-$70. Pet grooming prices may vary based on the task. For example, a bath and brush for shorthair cats may be $15, $20 for medium-hair cats, and $25 for a longhair. Cat groomers can also keep your cat’s ears cleaned, trim their nails, and provide haircuts if needed. Average prices for haircuts can vary from $30 to $95 or more, depending on whether the cat is shy or aggressive and whether their coat is in good condition, matted, or otherwise difficult to groom.

What is a dog groomer?

A dog groomer is a service professional who provides dog grooming and basic hygiene care for your dog. Dog groomers are typically animal lovers who are competent and comfortable working with a wide range of dog breeds and temperaments. Dog groomers are knowledgeable about the care needs for different kinds of dog coats. A poodle will have different haircut needs than a shih tzu, for example, so it pays to have a trained pro provide the proper cut. Good dog groomers know how to safely clean your dog’s teeth, bathe your dog, and cut their nails without going too short. They understand how to trim the hair from around your dog’s face, express anal glands, and clean your dog’s ears. Many people who choose dog grooming as a profession also pursue other dog services such as attending veterinary school, running a doggy day care center, working as a professional dog walker, and more.

What is a dog groomer?

Keep your family dogs happy, healthy and clean with regular dog grooming. A dog groomer is a business owner or employee of a dog grooming business who specializes in dog hygiene and grooming. To find a reputable dog groomer, research reviews, ask for references and confirm that the groomer has good standing in the dog grooming community.

A dog groomer should be comfortable and competent working with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Typically a groomer will have trained with other groomers and taken educational courses to keep abreast of the latest safety information and techniques. There are brick-and-mortar dog grooming businesses, as well as mobile dog groomers who bring all their equipment and provide their services at your home or location. In some cases, brick-and-mortar businesses will also pick up and return your dog for an additional fee.

How much should cat grooming cost?

Keeping your cat groomed is an important part of maintaining their good health. The national average cost for cat grooming ranges between $50 and $70, with prices varying based on where you live and the services you request. Your cat’s temperament can also affect grooming prices. Scratching and hissing during a groomer visit can raise rates an average of $5-$10, or more, as hazard pay. Larger cats and long-haired cats that take longer to groom will also usually cost more. Here are some examples of cat grooming average costs:

  • Shave down or lion cut: $35-$60. These cuts preserve the hair around the face and tip of the tail but shave down the entire body. The lion cut is often recommended for extremely matted hair is exceedingly matted, for extreme heat, or for cats who are suffering from hairballs.
  • Ear cleaning and nail trim: $30.
  • Nail trim: $10-$15.
  • Bath and nail trim: $45.
  • Bath and sanitary trim: $55. A sanitary trim clips the hair on a cat’s behind to prevent fecal matting in longhair cats or cats that have mobility issues.
  • Bath, blow-dry, brush out, nail trim and ear cleaning: $40.
