- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have had a love of animals since I was very young. It began with my first dog, then my hamster, and onto my cat. Soon our pet family just began to grow and I realized I couldn't live without furry friends in my life. It is one of the reasons I took a job at the PetSmart Pet Hotel. When I realized I could no longer stand by the mistreatment, I set out to make a living doing the same thing, but with much more love and care.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I have a lot of background as a PetCare Specialist working with the PetSmart Pet Hotel. During my employment there, I learned the fundamentals of caring for both cats and dogs. I left this position because I relocated and was too far to make the drive. Another reason I left this establishment was due to my unwillingness to see the treatment of some of our furry clients. I saw some clients not get any playtime or handling because pet parents couldn't afford to pay the extra price for playtime. I believe all clients (especially those staying for extended periods) deserve quality time as a basic accommodation in a pet care package.
