I am so happy to have found Matt. I have been working out with him for about a year and I have watched my body change. I have rheumatoid arthritis and it has made me stronger and healthier. It is also great to get prepared for my wedding. Matt is personable and funny. He is both encouraging and accepting of realistic life styles.

I went into Raymond at Inner Power Hypnotherapy out of pure desperation and in a last ditch effort because everything else had failed. I was in an unhealthy marriage, I had gained ALOT of weight, had developed low self esteem, suffered sever pain from fibromyalgia and had lost myself and who I was because of all these thing. I went to the first visit just wanting to lose some weight to look better for my husband and not hurt so much. Well let me tell you I may have went thinking I knew what I wanted but I left with what I needed. I left feeling so empowered!. (He even helped me address and let go of some issued I had been carrying around since I was little that had been effecting me my whole life) I have taken control of my life back and am starting to find me again. 6 months ago I could not even walk 400 steps a day the pain was so severe from the fibromyalgia and today I am pain free. Before seeing Ray if you had asked me what I like to do I would have just stared at you and said "I don't know" because I had lost me and I really didn't know. Today I can name you half a dozen thing I have discovered I love to do. Ray is not just a wonderful hypnotherapist you can trust but a great therapist, confidant, life coach and mentor. I highly recommend Ray at Inner Power Hypnotherapy for what ever your needs are.

Danny is great, he planned a nutrition and work out program for me that I can use any where I go whether it be my home or a hotel. Danny also gave me an inside work out plan and outside work out plan , so depending on the weather or how I feel, I can do either one! I love the freedom of not having to change my schedule and living a healthier life. I would strongly recommend using Coach Daleys programs to improve your quality of life.

I met Lindsey when I was a freshman in high school and I have been with her for a little over 4 years. She has become not only a coach and trainer, but like a big sister to me. I know if I ever need anything from workouts to inspiration she will be there for me. She has helped me reach fitness goals and have a better mindset about working out.

Liz is truly the best! I’ve been working with her for about 3 months now and am very happy with my results so far. I’ve lost weight, built muscle and have healthier eating habits all because of her! I love that training and nutrition coaching are both included in her package and she is very knowledgeable in both areas! Liz is the third trainer I’ve worked with and is by far the best! If you’re thinking about working with a trainer, choose Liz, you won’t be sorry!

I worked with Damien for over a year while he was in VA. I would describe his workout approach as holistic. He is a very dedicated trainer and spends a great deal of time tailoring programs specific to clients' needs. He engages your mind and body with great emphasis on muscle awareness and form. You will be challenged!

I had my (first ever) life coaching session with Nicole. I was not too sure what that even meant when I signed up, but knew that I wanted someone in the world to talk to and guide me. From the moment our call began I instantly felt comfortable with her. Even though we were not face to face, she was so very present. She guided me through the process of being coached, and really made me think and talk about many aspects of my life. Her questions were well thought out, and so appropriately put each and every time. She also sent me notes and steps for moving forward, which will be so helpful to have in print for the future.

I had a life coaching session with LeighAnn and it was awesome! We did a fun coloring exercise to help me organize my thoughts, then I had a hypnotherapy session that was literally one of the most relaxing experiences of my life. LeighAnn is caring, dedicated, and beyond understanding and I would highly recommend her.

Edward Aldama brings results. it's as simple as that. Aldama Life Coaching has some very simple and powerful methods that enable one to achieve one's goals. It's working for me! His coaching sessions typically last an hour. Its an hour jam packed with information and tools for success. The Seven Secrets to Success book that Mr. Aldama has published is a very helpful book to go along with the coaching sessions. I plan on being a client of Aldama Coaching for a long time. The best money I've ever spent!

Felicity is truly gifted at helping people! By far, she has been the best massage therapist that I have ever had and I have seen MANY therapists over the course of the last 12 years. She is amazing at working the kinks out of my shoulders and for that, I am truly grateful!

Since my experience with life coaching, I have found that I have been able to make many changes to my perspective for the positive, and have more confidence facing the same issues when they come up again. I learned that sometimes my sense of guilt and obligation to others overshadowed my own personal discomfort and reluctance, and were justified by outside demands which overwhelmed me. What I needed to do was balance what I could do with what others expected me to do. This involved developing a plan of action for such situations in the future. Another situation involved a belief about myself that was based on comparing my performance with someone else. What I found is that I can do certain things very well and I should not judge my outcomes based on how others perform. Christine helped me with both situations and the techniques she used allowed me to uncover things about myself I didn’t know, as well as change the way I confronted similar situations that came up for me later.

Kathy embodies her mission. She indeed has a healing heart in everything she does. ❤️ I have benefited tremendously from all of the services she offers through Healing Hearts. From the yoga and Pilates classes to the Sedona getaway retreats and the one-on-one coaching. With the guidance and support of Kathy I have been able to complete a phd against many odds - e.g. Back injury, divorce, and the loss of loved ones. The services from Kathy (Healing Hearts) have been instrumental on this journey - and I honestly don't think I would have made it without her. - In her yoga and Pilates classes she tailors exercises to accommodate her students' special needs and injuries, so that we can grow stronger and more flexible in a responsible fashion. Her style is fun, loving, and also soothing for the soul and mind. It helped me manage the stress related to the PhD and I walked out of each class happier and lighter. - Kathy's retreats are like an oasis on the journey of life. I find them to be full of nourishing activities and food for both body, soul, and thought. These shared experiences have also lead to many lasting friendships which I treasure. - Through the coaching sessions Kathy has enabled me to reframe and deal with many of my inner and outer obstacles in life. This has enabled a personal and spiritual growth which serves me well both professionally as well as in my relationship to myself and others. Kathy helps you challenge the status quo of your life through compassionate listening, novel exercises, and by offering enlightened perspectives which she has cultivated over many years of studies and continuous practice. Kathy is definitely on my "board of directors" for life. With gratitude and love, Namaeste, Camilla Jensen, PhD

I first came to Dawn 7 months ago to balance out my hormones. I've been on hormone therapy and medications to balance me out and it wasn't working for me. I had horrible acne, missed periods, and constant low energy. I finally had it and decided to go a more natural approach. I quit all my hormone therapy and medications and started doing acupuncture with Dawn once a week. She got me on some Chinese herbs as well to help balance me out and what my body needed! Within 2 months I finally started my period and have been regular since! I no longer have acne and my energy levels feel amazing. She has changed my life so much. I feel more confident in myself and more at balance.

    About

    About

If you are looking for an experienced coach who can help you to remove the blocks that keep you from living the life you deserve, I can help you to get "unstuck." As a trained counselor and a certified mind-body practitioner, I offer both traditional and alternative modalities to help you shift. Services include the following: * Life Coaching * Health and Wellness Coaching * Hypnotherapy * Creative Visualization * Reiki * Meditation * Yoga * Pilates In my experience, I found that traditional therapy is not very effective in bites, i.e., outpatient and hourly visits with a therapist, but that alternative modalities are much more effective for making quick shifts in clients. So I began studying alternative modalities and feel that the combination of traditional and alternative therapies works best. You'll find your sessions relaxing and enlightening. So, get ready for the possibilities that lie ahead of you. Be happy and healthy, Desiree A. Lewis, M.A.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is a health coach?

A health coach is a service provider you can hire to help you realize your wellness goals. You can hire a health and wellness coach to guide you through life changes, keep you focused on weight loss or fitness goals, help boost your mental health, and more. Many health coaches work with their clients for set periods of time as the client moves toward a measurable goal. Wellness coaches come from varying backgrounds, and may have different areas of focus depending on their education and training. Research potential coaches by reading their reviews, researching their academic and personal backgrounds, and learning about any certifications they have earned from coaching institutes. Often, health and wellness coaches sell coaching packages ranging from three to six months or longer, depending on the client’s needs. The average national cost for an individual health coach session ranges from $60 to $90, although prices may range as low as $30 or up to $130 or more, depending on your location and the coach.

    What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

    Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.

What is a holistic wellness coach?

When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.

Although they are highly motivational and often can help clients achieve great results, holistic wellness coaches are not professional health care providers or registered dietitians. Different institutes and training centers provide certifications for holistic wellness coaching, so be sure to research your coach and read their reviews to understand more about their techniques and training.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
