I have been student at the Budo Shingikan for nearly three years, and I can confidently say that you can't go wrong by sending your kids here or attending yourself (or both, as many families seems to do). Sensei D'Antonolio works incredibly hard to create a great learning environment and it shows in how quickly students pick up skills. The martial system is Bushin Ryu Aikbujutsu, which is a fully developed martial system with a strong emphasis on connection, soft power and practical application. Highly, highly recommended! Shannon Sensei is the main instructor for the kids programs, and they seem excellent as well. The kids learn discipline and respect, while at the same time building self-esteem and important self-defense skills. There are lots of adult students on the mat helping out as well. Great place for the whole family.
I joined Xavier’s Saturday Morning Get Your Body Moving Boot Camp in October 2014, thanks to an invite from a friend. I was looking for something that would actually motivate & push me harder then I push myself. It was such a great deal, I couldn’t pass it up and I am so glad I joined. Xavier not only pushes you physically, he offers motivational support. When my son was struggling with school, Xavier was able to help him work through his stress by encouraging him physically and emotionally. He pushed my son to his potential but also sat down with him to get to know him as an individual. As one friend put it to me awhile ago pearls before swine. This is how I would describe I Liq Chuan. This internal martial art is what I feel embodies the secrets of martial power and strength. It is unlike any other martial art I have experienced and I have experienced a lot ranging from combatives to aikido, to jujutsu to judo. This martial art helps one to focus on whats going on inside you: proper mental state, structure, balance, relaxation and much, much more. The curriculum is simple, but has so much depth to it. Its fantastic for health and self-defense. Sifu Ashe Higgs is a talented instructor and friend who I find to be very, very skilled, patient and generous with his knowledge. He is one of the best I Liq Chuan instructors in the system and is a personal disciple of Sam Chin, another fantastic teacher. If you want to experience a martial art that goes beyond kata and accumulating techniques, that expands your mind and martial abilities this art is one to explore.

Just a few short years ago, Tim got me in the best shape I'd been in since my 20's, may be the best shape ever. I was lean and strong. Unfortunately, I was laid off in 2008 and quit going to Rock Solid Fitness. Though I've been to the gym, I gained 23 pounds--a lot for me. Needless to say, I've called Tim and back on track to return to my lean and mean self. Training with Rock Solid Fitness is definitely worth it!
This course is extremely informative and useful. Although I am female, and this course is most helpful to females, it is also full of tips, tricks and strategies men can use as well. The physical portion is easily adapted to the learners abilities, existing skill and knowledge level and does not require strength or previous martial arts experience. The moves are easy for anyone to learn and to utilize regardless of size or strength or skill level. Sensei is very good at teaching this information and very good at identifying strengths and weaknesses and helping the student overcome the weaknesses to better deliver the self defense moves. I have had previous martial arts instruction and feel that this instructor is very suited to that role and also very knowledgeable about the subject matter. I highly recommend this course and this instructor
