FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend many seminars to better my craft of photography and retouching. I love to hear how another photographer runs their sesisons, manages the day or just what inspires them. I am always looking for new inspiration myself. I attend bi-yearly trade shows to see what the newest products are available to myself as the artist and my clients as my customer
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was an accident. I wanted a better camera to take better pictures of my kids. I was trying to be artsy with my point and shoot. Two years of asking and I finally got my first DSLR for Christmas. I was also a model at the time and thought that practicing on my peers would be fun. Well an agency picked me up to shoot on a regular basis for them, that brought me bridal fashion which got me published and led to wedding work. My fashion work also led to local celebrities and book covers, concerts and a variety of other things. At the end of the day, whether it's a bride, a baby or an artist on stage...I am just trying to get a great photo.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I shoot people. I am versed in various forms of photography but my most common client is for headshots. I shoot portraits because it is a natural progression, I love people...they love moments. I have (by accident) also become a celebrity and artist photographer for concerts and shows. I am also an editorial wedding photographer and have the honor of being published nationally.
