I can't imagine a better bartending and cocktail waitress service. James and Heather were great and worked as part of my team to assure my wife's surprise birthday party went off without a hitch at our home. The 40 or so guests were very complimentary of the service recieved and said they will be using Essential in the future. I'm sure we will too at our next party. James and Heather are very pleasant people, fit in well with our guests, and went beyond our expectations of them.

James was an outstanding bartender! It was our son's first birthday party which we hosted at a family member’s home; the bar was a fully equipped built-in bar which offered dry seating as well as a swim up option from the pool. James scheduled time to discuss the party and our needs in advance as well as offered to provide a shopping list as we were supplying all of the alcohol. He did provide such list and was available for subsequent questions. The day of, he showed up an hour early to set up; however, as there was not too much to do he went above and beyond to help us with other party details. Originally, we had hired him for 3 hours but he was so great that we ended up having him stay an extra hour. He was very creative and his drinks were spot on! Our 90+ guests thought he was very friendly and did an amazing job! So good that we have kept his cards/contact info for future parties; not to mention, the # of guests who also requested his card! At the end of the party he even provided a breakdown of our inventory, not something we asked for but again that was his level of professionalism and going above and beyond! We will definitely be hiring James again! I hope this review is helpful to anyone looking for a bartender no matter your venue, if so, you should consider hiring James…money more than well spent! James, we can’t wait to host another party!

After going trough the Thumbtack experience and hiring Essential Bartending Services I can report that the experience was outstanding. I was in a bind to find a service to bartend and help with food for my Mother's Celebration of Life. We were expecting over 200 guests. James and his staff arrived ahead of time and took over the tasks at hand. They walked through our home to access the situation, set up 2 bars. One for hard alcohol and the other a wine bar. At some point in the middle of the evening I noticed that each bar tender was taking little moments to tend to messy tables and asking our guests if they could get them something. They were not intrusive but very effective and handled everyone with respect. The food person in their staff was extremely knowledgeable. He took charge immediately of our food tables, chaffing dish set ups, ovens etc. He kept everything hot and replenished desserts and other food so our food tables were always full. Before the celebration started they had complete control. My family was able to greet our guest and show our appreciation through out the night. They closed down in a timely manner and gave an inventory of what remained in the bars. I recommend James and his staff. They were extremely professional.

James was a bartender at our party last weekend. He did an outstanding job. He was reasonably priced, listened to our needs, arrived early to set up, and stayed later than we initially asked without hesitation. He was polite, well-dressed, professional, and respectful. He made fantastic drinks and was very attentive to all of our guests. After the party people commented that James was a great bartender and they were pleased with the service that he had provided at our party. We will definitely be calling him again soon.
