FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required to meet or exceed extensive continuing education requirements which include the following: Certified Financial Planning ® (CFP®) designation: 30 credit hours per year in addition to Enrolled Agent (EA) designation: 16 credit hours per year
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you research the advisors experience. Credentials like the CFP® are very important because they show credibility and commitment to the profession. Know what you're paying for. As many advisors charge the same fee, some provide a lot more value than others. Research what other areas the advisor has knowledge in. Do they have an economics degree? Do they have a tax designation? Is this their second career and when did they start? Do they thoroughly understand social security? The more knowledgeable the advisor, the more value you will receive for you money.
