First off, I reached out to Anthony about doing a tile demo and new installation of porcelain tiles. It wasn't even a full hour before he responded asking pertinent questions about the project. We got down to brass tacks about doing 1000 square feet, and that we'd need the tile to be bought as well. He and the crew he hired all showed up on time every day of the project. He made sure our requests were clear and how we wanted the tile to be laid. We suggested a 50/50 lay-down but he actually said the better route was the 1/3 method, which, as it stands is the much better route as tiles tend to have a bow in the middle which would be raised among other tiles had it been a 50/50 lay. All in all, the whole process and project went as planned and have no doubt about hiring him again for future projects.

Details: Entranceway • Bathroom • Kitchen • Hallway • Floor • 401 - 500 sq ft • Concrete • Porcelain • No, but I will buy the tiles myself

We were very pleased with all of their work on multiple large home projects including tile removal, new tile flooring, a complete fireplace overhaul and refacing (which was a bit complex) and retiling our hot tub. I would highly recommend this company!

We weren't pleased with how the tile was installed, the tile we purchased was done so so that it would fit one in to the other from end to end, very few cuts and wasted pieces this way, they started instead in the center and made numerous cuts and one end of back wall 1/2" pieces as opposed to almost 2-4" pieces on other end, looks off. Left a little mess of adhesive on copper pipe and wall and pulled some paint from our drywall. They did offer to come back to clean it up but we were already disillusioned so didn't want to mess with it. Our mistake of not clarifying and assuming they would do the tile how we intended. Overall tile installation done neatly.

Details: Bathroom • Tub / Shower enclosure • 25 - 50 sq ft • Drywall • Mosaic • Yes, I already have the tiles

The Phoenix Home Remodeling and Repair's reply
Ma'am I'm very sorry you were not pleased. I should have communicated better on how the tile would look in its final layout. Your tile was installed correctly and in compliance with industry standards. Generally the center of the shower is most visible as you enter. Starting from the center and not the corner, ensures that the centre portion gets full tiles and cut pieces move toward corners / sides in such a way that the shower looks symmetrical and all possible tile / tiling-imperfections (cutting, assymetrical pieces of tiles) are thus taken to the corner rather than showing them off in the center or outer sides.
