Introduction: My primary focus since moving to Lake Havasu City, AZ, 12 years ago, has been designing graphics and lettering layouts for boats. Once design/layout is approved, I airbrush the design/lettering onto the boat. I also do custom paint/graphics for tow vehicles and the entire boat itself. Since the boating industry has taken a nosedive with the economy, my boat-related workload has diminished greatly, forcing me to re-focus my design/layout efforts to different media. In the late '80s, I was an art director for a small agency in Chicago, and have a BA in design/vis.com. I owned-operated a screen-print business for 13 years, where all the design and layouts were created in vector format in Illustrator. After I closed the doors in 1998, I started Don Burda Design, while still in the Chicago area. My primary focus was the emerging website industry, where I hand-coded html, did web page design and layout and did some design for print media. I am hoping to find some freelance design and image editing work, where I can work from home. I am an expert in Photoshop and quite proficient with Illustrator. I have been using both since the early '90s.
