As a 30 year old needing to pass a math exam for an employment opportunity I was very nervous about trying to remember what I'd learnt in school...many, many years ago. Charlene was fantastic at not only refreshing my memory but also making me feel very comfortable throughout the process. I would highly recommend Charlene as a tutor, it's obvious that she loves her job and cares about helping her students achieve the results they desire!!!

When I was a sophomore, I was struggling with Algebra 2— thats when my mom discovered Charlene Brown through tutorpedia. I will forever be thankful for Charlene as a tutor because she did an amazing job. I was always better at geometry, but Charlene would spend so much time helping me break down the aspects of Algebra 2 that i didn’t understand. I remember that Charlene always said that everyone can understand math, as long as you can break it down into pieces that you understand. I did really well in Algebra 2, and I couldn’t wait to have Charlene tutor me in physics junior year. Physics is definitely the worst subject I’ve ever taken, and without Charlene I’m not sure what I would have done. Charlene is definitely one of the greatest teachers I’ve ever known; again, she would spend so much time explaining things to me until I had it in my head. I recall always saying to her, “I really don’t like physics.”— and she would reply with, “Well Physics doesn’t like you then.” It was an ongoing line that kept some comedy within the actual learning. Again at the end of the year, I found myself grasping concepts that I would never have understood without Charlene. I was so sad to learn of her relocation to Dallas during my senior year, but i could not be happier to have known and worked with Charlene, and I 100% recommend her to anyone who is looking for an amazing tutor. We miss you Charlene!

Charlene tutored my son Ryan for 3 years while in High School. She mostly helped him with math. She came once a week sometimes more if he had finals. Charlene was always on time. very flexible and communicative. She helped Ryan improve his math grades but more importantly help him improve his organizational skills and study skills. She was also a life coach for Ryan. She helped motivate him, ground him and boost his confidence. He looked forward to her sessions and was always in a great mood after the sessions were over. I really can't say that anything was wrong or needed to be improved.
