Introduction: I work on all facets of conditioning (strength & cardio), including balance, coordination, mobility, and agility. I can give you a great workout at a high intensity, a low intensity, or anywhere in between! I specialize in health seekers (people looking to become healthy), active older adults (50+), cancer survivors, special populations (developmentally delayed adults, those released from Physical Therapy but need more support, etc). I love seeing a client be able to regain a life skill, balance, mobility, etc and just live a healthier, happier, more active lifestyle!

The most important thing Corrie Behar taught me during our instructional period of at least 6 months (once a week at the local YMCA) was how rapidly most folk, especially older folk, allow their sense of balance to atrophy as they age. We rely upon large muscle groups to carry the burden and accept stumbling around as part of aging. Although I thought my level of fitness was high, I had ignored balance and attention to the 'little' muscle groups. Through Corrie's training I am much more aware of all of the little helper muscles required for balance in every day use. I have incorporated Corrie's balance exercises into my routines to ensure that as I age, my sense of balance does not disappear. I am also grateful for Corrie's friendly and encouraging nature and good sense of humor. These qualities made the process of incorporating unfamiliar exercises into my routines much easier and more enjoyable. Kurt Graper

Really enjoyed working with her. I'm in that senior citizen demographic. She pushed me but was always aware of, and knowledgeable about, issues that sometimes arise when you are 70+.

When I started with Corrie, I thought we would start strengthening, but since I am 70 years old she said I needed to work on balance. I knew I had balance issues, but I thought it was an inner ear problem. She started me on balance exercises and my balance problems are so much better!! Corrie is very good at listening to what your concerns are and she doesn't push you beyond what you should not be doing. I really miss her (however she did put me with another great trainer) and would recommend her to anyone.

Corrie helped me get in shape for a hiking vacation in Wyoming. She was excellent, utilizing many different types of exercise and fitness to get my older body in shape. She was very knowledgable about the physiology and anatomy of the body and even made recommendations about nutrition. I always felt just the right amount of challenge after each session. Needless to say, the vacation was a breeze. Highly recommend!
