Sam Johnson Vocal Studio has been helping people learn how to sing for over 5 years. I spent over 18 months teaching vocal technique in Hong Kong, and have brought the experience gained back to the states. I specialize in technique that can be used to sing all genres, from rock and pop to classical. I have a degree in vocal performance from Westminster College. I love helping students find and achieve measurable goals in their voices, and help them learn how to be self-critical and always improving singers.

Sam was my first vocal coach and made me realize that a lot of vocals are a mental game. We're all a lot better than we give ourselves credit for and go even higher with the right pushing and exercises.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rate is $30 per half hour lesson. I am willing to offer need based discounts, as I believe everyone passionate enough about singing deserves quality voice lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In our first lesson we talk about what shared goals we have for the voice, and work through some vocal exercises to begin working toward those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a full member of IVTOM (International Voice Teachers of Mix). I also have a degree in vocal performance from Westminster College.
