Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I think the reason my work stands out is the same reason why I love newborn/birth/maternity portraiture so much. Its the connection. Its the people. Taking a picture of a mom holding her newborn is one thing, but really capturing that connection between them-that bond- is another. That is what I focus on along with getting all the precious little details of your baby as a newborn. That phase is so fleeting and when it comes we are so tired and worn as new parents its often hard to remember every single detail. Oh that is an easy one. I can't get enough of being around sweet new babies and their families. I especially seeing a mother with her new child wrapped in her arms. There is something so so special about that time. Like I said. I just can't get enough of it! Who wouldn't love this job!?

I met Ashley when I was about 29 weeks pregnant maybe a little more far along, I wanted to do a maternity shoot and see what services she provided. She came into my home and discussed ALL my options and everything she had to offer. So as I went through it all idecided I would do it all and go all out since it was going to be my last child and I never got to experience anything like this with my others because it was never offered. I went with the buy 2 pkgs get one free. I chose the mternity, the birth and the newborn/family. So my first shoot was my maternity, she made me feel so comfortable. I felt like a model. When I went into labor she kept me updated with where she was, what time she would be there, how I was doing everything. She came into the delivery room and photographed everything from the monitor of my contractions to her outfit. It was finally time to bring my baby into this world and she captured the most amazing shots. What was nice about this is that my husband got to be by my side the whole time, we didn't have to worry about him taking pictures. These are the moments we sometimes forget from being on medication or so much going on that she captured. Our final shoot was our newborn/ family. She was so patient with baby Peighton and treated her as if she were her own, and as far as our family pictures she is amazing with kids and capturing expressions that are priceless. I am so blessed to have ashley as our photographer and a family friend. I will continue to use Ashley Lowder photography for any thing and everything I need captured. She is simply amazing!

We hired Ashley on a referral from a friend that was using her services too. After our initial phone conversation and looking at her website my fiance and I were excited. Once we met her in person and got to know her and see more of her style, we were hooked. She takes great pride in her attention to detail and making your photography experience unique. We have only done our engagement photos so far, but we are more than impressed with her professionalism and quality of her work. Being a certified Master photographer myself, its hard for me to just "let go" and let someone else control the session, but with her it was VERY easy. The results were way better than my fiance and I had expected. We can't say enough good things about her, but I will promise you this...once you book with Ashley, you will never regret it. We can not wait to get our wedding photographs...nothing better than to capture our special day with someone that is so passionate about "us" as Ashley is.

When I discovered Ashley's blog, I was absolutely blown away! I emailed her immediately about prices and to my surprise they were incredibly reasonable. Everything about the way she operates is PERFECTION. She's patient, professional, and so easy to be around. We had so much fun taking pictures (which I usually hate) I didn't want it to end. Just when I thought I couldn't love her more, she delivered our pictures. If you already like her work, just wait until you see what she can do for you. It's so much different seeing your own session, since you know the people in the pictures. She captured the essence of our family better than I could possibly imagine. I was spoiled by her talent before she moved and now nothing compares. My only regret: Not finding her sooner!

Ashely has done many photo shoots for our family over the past few year. We have loved every single one of them. My favorite shoot was with my new born baby. She was very gentle and was able to get her to sit in the cutest positions, while staying asleep. The pictures came out great. Everyone in our extended family loved them and we even used one of them in the birth announcement. I would recommend Ashely Lowder Photography to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

One word- ALWAYS. Its important that I am continually learning about new techniques, software, equipment, safety measures, and so on. I am always purchasing classes, books, webinars, and learning from other photographers in my field.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The best advice I can give is to find someone who you trust. You are giving them a ticket to some of the most special moments in your life. You need to know that they respect that fact and will do anything possible to make you happy as a customer and friend. Newborn portraits also bring in a question of safety. Don't be afraid to ask what measures they take to make your child safe while taking their photos. Also, be sure you feel comfortable bringing up concerns or questions. Unknowns can be overwhelming to a new parent, especially a first time parent. Be sure you can really talk to your photographer so they know how you're feeling, what you like/dislike, and what would make you feel most secure.
