FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
What is a Contingency Fee? When is this Fee Paid? The contingency fee payment structure, like the one used in our office, allows all accident victims to pursue an injury claim regardless of their ability to pay until the case is won. The contingency is based upon recovery of money by the attorney on behalf of the client either by settlement, arbitration award or jury verdict. Our office works exclusively on a contingency fee basis, calculated as a percentage of your recovery before costs are deducted. The fee is clearly stated in a written fee agreement prepared at the commencement of representation by the firm. Our office does not increase the contingency fee percentage during the course of our representation. This contingency fee is charged only when we win or settle your case. What are the Costs? Certain costs will be incurred on your behalf for items such as medical records, filing fees, etc. which are advanced, interest free, by the firm as the case progresses. Under Arizona law, the client must repay the costs regardless of the outcome of the case. You would not pay any fee however, should we not make a recovery from the party at fault or from your insurance carrier should the at fault driver be uninsured or underinsured.
