We had engineered hardwood installed in our dining room and living room. We had a problem with finding an installer until we came upon Thumbtack. The materiel was purchased at Home Depot but even they would contract out the installation and most probably they would choose an outfit with a low bid and the highest return for HD. We choose Phoenix Hardwood Floors via Thumbtack. I must say that Daniel O did an excellent job for us. It spanned over two days because of the old carpet removal, leveling the floor, and finally installation and clean up. I was surprised that a single person could do all this work as Daniel never took a break and worked extremely hard. Our experience was very positive and as we do more rooms we will have Phoenix Hardwood Floors back to do these as well. Fair price, excellent workmanship, and a 2 year guarantee on the install. D.E. I have remodeled over 20 homes and have seen the good and bad of hired help. Many call themselves professionals. I recently hired Phoenix Hardwood to install hardwood in a $1+ million dollar home and I can't say enough about how happy I was with every aspect of their installation. Dan and his crew were courteous, meticulous, punctual, skilled, trustworthy, pleasant, and professional on all levels. They came in did a great job at a reasonable cost and did not nickel and dime for extras as other companies would have done. I would hire them on my next job and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship from a professional trusting hardwood specialist!

Mark Williams did such an amazing job on our floors we can't believe how seemless he made the process! My husband began installing our bamboo floors and halfway in waived the white flag. We posted a request on thumbtack on a Saturday night and by that next week mark was here with his guys doing a 5 star job. My only regret is that we didn't use him earlier! Will definitely use on the next remodel and recommend highly! Thanks mark!

Mark was open and honest about all the details of the project. When the original materials (engineered hardwood) he recommended would not work out, he met me at a flooring store to help pick out an alternative. He stayed within out budget and timeline, and now we have 4 bedrooms with beautiful floors (instead of carpeting) in our new home.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our hardwood flooring installation starts out at 2.99/sqft. Our sanding and refinishing prices start out at 3.99/sqft. For any other prices please ask.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to speak on the phone first to learn more about the project. Then we would like to see the project so we can get an exact estimate. Many times it's hard to give an exact estimate over the phone, text, or email without seeing it first. Many times there is extra work needing to be done that we can't see. This helps keep us honest with our customers and eliminate any surprises.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been providing all types of hardwood flooring services in the Phoenix area for 17 years. We have extensive knowledge in sanding and refinishing, and installation.
