FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are billed quarterly; students pay for three months in advance of each quarter, though a new student can try it for a month before committing to the quarter.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It’s important to find out who each student is: their personality, best learning style, goals, etc. Once I know who my student is, I’ll put together a curricular plan for their advancement, then monitor and adjust that plan as needed. Most important to me is fostering the student’s love of music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For seven years I took private piano instruction from James Gass, then experimented with jazz, blues and pop music on my own. In college I spent time learning music and musical theatre, then began musically directing theatrical shows for youth theaters throughout the Valley. During this time I also composed music for several full-length musicals, winning Best Musical Score for a few of them! I’ve worked as a professional musician for years, including playing for weddings, studio recordings, and lots more.
