It has been a pleasure to have Jake as part of my daughter's learning. His teaching style was a perfect match for her and helped her feel confident, engaged, and that she could be successful. My daughter is very bright and really needed help with both basic concepts and more developed work -- both of these levels of learning were handled perfectly and helped her gain the skills needed to keep progressing successfully. My daughter has had several tutors in her education and Jake was by far the best person that met her where she was, encouraged her at the right level based on her age (17) and learning/personality styles, and was professional and communicative all along. She is off to college and she hopes to keep working with Jake as she makes the transition. My daughter was always on board to have her tutoring sessions and has told me many times that she's glad he has been her tutor. We're very grateful -- thank you, Jake!

Jake was a godsend as my son was a bit timid with his Spanish skills. Jake pick up where the teaching system is falling short and helped my son accomplish and overcome his challenges.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $80 per hour and accept payment either in advance or the day of the scheduled session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually schedule a phone or Zoom call with new customers prior to our first session. This allows me to get to know the client on a personal basis and to understand their specific goals and needs in tutoring. From there, we schedule our first session, which will be planned based on the subject matter and student’s goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL) in May of 2019 as a business major and a Spanish minor. In high school, I took as many AP and Honors classes as possible. My academic background gives me the experience and skills necessary to help students excel at all different levels of learning. The combination of my Spanish minor and year spent living in Spain allows me to teach both written and conversational Spanish.
