I contacted Katya Borisova per recommendation from one of my clients who has previously used her services for a home purchase in Phoenix.m, AZ. I was looking at an investment property and wanted to verify the living area and what the house was worth. I have been evaluating some investment properties and needed help to validate the market value and equity. I spoke with Katya Borisova the owner of RealEstateAppraisal LLC and shared some information I knew about the property. She asked me additional questions and requested the address to do some initial research prior to providing a quote. Her valuation was based on through analysis looking at both the annual market trend and last 6 months to capture the changing market, presented plenty of comparable and explained her adjustments in details. Katya is not only extremely professional, but a great person to run ideas through and get guidance, she is very knowledgable about the Arizona market and as an investor herself, has knowledge/advice that goes beyond the standard appraising work. How did you get started doing this type of work?
During COVID I had the opportunity to stop and think through my career path. At that time, I already had few investment properties and wanted to expand on my knowledge to be a more effective investor and real estate professional. My first education was in Building and Architecture and I always loved real estate, so becoming an appraiser allowed me to apply both my creative and business skills to establish a business that I love, while giving me the opportunity to support my teenage kids as a single mom.
