I have both a broad and a deep background. Studies include an M.A. in Music (voice), four years with a Garcia Marchesi master, work with Speech Level singing top masters, and years with an unorthodox teacher who fixed vocal problems the other two had been unable to address (or had themselves caused). From the different techniques I have amassed tools to address most every vocal challenge, and I have been able to pick which tool works the fastest and with the best long-term success with which type of student. I have also added insights gleaned from my own performing and teaching, such as how to simultaneously train the mind for much more rapid learning, and tips to accelerate progress. I also approach singing from the perspective as a performer and songwriter, who has had my share of challenges with poor teachers and bad habits. I understand where most singers are coming from, having stood there myself. I also make sure lessons are enjoyable and inspiring. Lessons are fun both for myself and for my students because I genuinely enjoy what I am doing, and am cheering you on. Sharing the gift of music is a joy. Sharing the ability to communicate through song. I often have people come into my studio after years of wishing they could sing, and I facilitate that wish coming true. The younger students give me the privilege of starting them off well for a life song.
