Thank you for looking at my profile. I am a researcher with more than 11 years of experience in teaching. I did my PhD in mechanical engineering with a focus on
“Dynamics Modeling” (intersection of math and physics). I worked for NASA and Blue Origin and taught several courses at UofA for 4 years while I was in graduate school.
Currently, I am a researcher and co-founder of a robotics company, but I still miss teaching.
That is why I made this account.
I believe in Feynman’s method: rather than memorizing, we break each problem down to its basic principles and build a deep, intuitive understanding.
I really enjoy working with curious people who want to learn. I can teach any math class from high school to undergraduate courses. For physics, I prefer to teach AP Physics 1, AP Physics C: Mechanics, Statics, Dynamics, and Advanced Dynamics.

My son has been struggling with 7th grade math this year. Early in the semester, he was failing due to difficulty understanding the concepts and staying focused in class. In my search for a math tutor, I found Sahand — and I am so grateful I did.
Sahand has made an incredible impact in a very short period of time. He quickly identified my son’s gaps and helped him build confidence, understand the concepts, and apply them to his homework. He genuinely cares about his students’ success and took a personal interest in helping my son get back on track.
What really impressed me was how prepared and dedicated he always is. Before each session, he asks for my son’s current school materials so he can tailor the lesson to what he’s learning in class. He even went out of his way to help the night before a big math test. Sahand also introduced coding to my son, which seems to have sparked his interest.
Sahand is also tutoring my high school daughter in math, and she enjoys working with him just as much. He is professional, personable, and keeps each session engaging. Both of my kids genuinely look forward to tutoring time with him.

Dr. Sabet is a phenomenal instructor!! Takes very complex topics and teaches them in a way that are very easy to digest and understand. He made learning fun and interesting. I took a MATLAB course with him and absolutely loved it! Few teachers care and are as passionate about teaching as he is. All around an incredible teacher.
