- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My preference is to look at a particular task prior to estimating the uncertain scope of work. I like to be precise with pricing, not inflated to cover myself. Every home is different no matter how similar they look and every occupant lives a unique style. I have found in my 19 years of plumbing, many situations are not a worst case scenario. Why not pay exactly what the cost should be and no more? If I over estimate, I always reduce my final price!
