Can't say enough about working with Stefan at Mikado. His work quality is solid, he's incredibly resourceful, and while he seeks to incorporate your ideas about the project - he's never afraid to suggest changes that add value to the end outcome. We had some pivots throughout our project (as with any construction project) and Stefan proactively worked with the city to resolve concerns and then sought out solutions that made our path to breaking ground easier. Further, as an owner-builder - Stefan was willing to work with us to make things happen. We chose to manage our project ourselves due to previous bad outcomes / poor experiences with general contractors in the valley. That adds a little complexity for an architect, but Stefan worked through those challenges. It's clear he treats every client with the same care and respect, no matter if it's a preferred GC or homeowner seeking to engage. We're about to break ground on the project in a few weeks. For now I'm just going to post the picture on the front of our permit set - but will be sure to update along the way! Highly recommend Mikado to anyone.

Stefan was thorough and made a great effort to keep us in the loop along the way. Home remodeling an older home is full of decisions on the fly and change options. He was great not only staying on top of things but his background as an architect offered positive viewpoints to changes or alterations not always found with a typical general contractor. he stayed on top of the sub contractors scheduling and was timely overall. He took responsibility for the project right up to the clean up at the finish and helped with vendor resolution supply issues / refunds even after the project was done and paid for. We met with five contractors for bidding. He stood out as the most organized and responsive while being competitively priced. We would recommend his overall project management skill set to anyone. Would hire again!

Stefan did the plans for our six unit townhouse development in 2020. He did a phenomenal job utilizing the lot space efficiently. He also did an excellent job delivering our desired modern luxury style. His innovating wine cabinet design was the star of each unit and pretty certain the key to us selling the units so quickly.

I have a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University. I apprenticed for 3 years prior to completing my licensure. I have further worked for 7 years for established architecture firms prior to starting Mikado Architecture.
