Introduction: Jamie J DJ's & Karaoke Services 9 reviews Thumbtack Best of 2015 Thumbtack Best of 2016 I do this because I love it and have passion for music and entertainment industry. I have established a reputation for using the absolute best sound equipment the industry has to offer.. I have always been a high energy, outgoing and fun DJ. I am also extremely professional and meticulous. I don't have the ability to settle for "good enough". When it comes to performance and the quality of my equipment and sound, I settle only for the best the world has to offer me and my customers, despite the price tag attached. It doesn't take long for new customers to take notice when you fill a room with such amazing pristine sound quality, courtesy of Italian imported Ferrari brand Loudspeakers. And since I have established longevity and a consumer base, my event prices are VERY competitive, and in many cases cheaper than most companies, I take great pride in going above and beyond as DJ, bringing joy and happiness to people all over AZ :) The question should be "what DON'T I enjoy about the work I do" Hahahaha! EVERYTHING about being a DJ, MC, and/or Public Speaker is enjoyable! The most rewarding part of my job is the being rewarded with validation as I work to keep the crowd always involved and feeling individually special. There just isn't a better feeling in the world than to see the sincere appreciation on people's faces for what I do as a DJ and MC. In 15 years working as a DJ, hosting over 300 Weddings and several hundred other events, I have never received negative feedback. Nobody is perfect, but when you hire me as your DJ for an event. You better believe I am there for you, to play what you like to hear and to give you my all for however length of time I am hosting your event. Your happiness and my validation, and that's how this DJ attempts to change the world on a daily bases. LOL!

What can we say about this amazing DJ? Met with us via social media and in person. He met all of our needs plus much more. He was able to get a song last minute and was not only a DJ but a gifted MC who knew our children's names and even my mother. He laughed and danced with us and smiled throughout the night. Please, if you are looking for the guy to put the special touch to your day and get everyone together...look no further. He's the one. Did we mention that our wedding was a destination wedding? Jamie JDJ was prompt and on time and professional. Makes me want to marry my husband again just to enjoy the reception. We would recommend his services for weddings, reunions, graduations, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. He'll make it personal and fun and you can definitely tell he enjoys his job!

I'm a karaoke junkie and habitually try out different venues for novelty, so I'm familiar with a range of DJ/KJ personalities. Jaime definitely stands out from all those I've met for so many AWESOME reasons... I think he is a great combination of personality, professionalism, and heart, and this comes out in the way he interacts with his customers. He is great at engaging the crowd and is deliberate about song choice, which is important if you dont want to worry about providing a playlist. He is always very positive and patient where most KJ's are sarcastic and rude with drunk customers. Plus, this guy can really sing! Which means Jaime has an ear for music. In most karaoke bars, the sound levels are too low, muffled, or sound hollow; but Jaime has a really good ear for music and I think his Karaoke shows have the best sound levels than other places I've been here in Tucson. (Plus, his up-to-date electronic system also helps I think). Recently, I recommended him to a friend to DJ her wedding and met him at one of his venues. She was so impressed with him she hired right after meeting him!

Excellent, professional and fun! I have attended many events where Jamie has been either the karaoke or music DJ. He takes pride in his work and you can tell. He has the best equipment around and a huge selection of music. Most importantly, he loves his job and everyone has fun! You will not be disappointed no matter the event, large or small.

I've been going to Jamie J's karaoke shows for years. Both my wife (girlfriend when we started going) and I absolutely love his shows. He has one of, if not the, best song selections in the city and takes a lot of pride in getting the best sound for whatever venue he's at. During slow times he shines with his DJ skills -- his song selections are always appropriate for the location, but still fun, engaging, and bring more people out to dance and turn in songs to sing. Any show you go to that Jamie J hosts is going to be a blast.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For the most part, yes. Prices can vary depending on distance to the show, amount of people at an event, length of the event, how short the notice of time, etc. Any typical 4 hour event can range from $325-500 or more. I charge less than most DJ's of my caliber. I use THE BEST DJ equipment Money can buy because I love what I do and I want to work with the best in my profession. I have several types of FBT (Ferrari Brother Trademark) speakers in my equipment storage, If you know pro audio, you will know there isn't a better speaker in the planet than FBT and it definitely reflects in their price. LOL My FBT's range from $800 to $4,000 per speaker, YES, PER SPEAKER! lol With such amazing sound purity they are worth every penny to me and my clients. I LOVE being a DJ and it shows. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depends on the Event. Any events other than a Wedding, I will send a DJ Contract via email for the costumer to sign and email back to me. If it's a Wedding, I will send a DJ Format along with The Contract. The format is to be reviewed by the bride and Groom together so they can decide what songs and how they would like to organize the Wedding Formalities. Prior to the Wedding I will meet in length with the Bride and Groom to make sure everything is organized exactly to their preference for the Big Day :) I'm a trained public speaker which makes MC'ing come so easily as second nature. Believe it or not I'm pretty shy by nature, but crowds of people empower me. I love stepping outside of myself for that time, and being so outgoing and well spoken,
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a DJ/MC business owner, I have a degree in Business Admin, I have a Psychology background, trained in Public Speaking and Communications. I'm a singer (not a great singer, lol), dabble with instruments, I'm sort of a musician wannabe LOL, I am also computer trained and inclined, Etc
