Hillside Music

I have been teaching for my entire adult life and have made a career of understanding and applying research based learning theory in my teaching. I am a classically trained musician and have a thorough knowledge of the best methods of teaching for enhancing students success. Having worked in music stores, I am also very knowledgeable about various musical instruments. In addition I offer an introductory lesson at no charge so potential students can see if we are a good fit. And finally I am a lot of fun and see having fun as an important component of learning. I love to teach music and take pride in my ability to move students quickly by assessing individual learning styles and tailoring my teaching for each student. My goal is to have students leave each lesson with a new set of skills, always built on previous learning. I am extremely patient by nature, but always strive for excellence. I love solving problems and take joy in my students' progress.
