Karen is a fabulous chef. She is creative with the menus and is very dependable. Her cooking is beyond delicious and attractive. My husband and I highly recommended her food for your weekly meals or a special occasion.

Karen taught a cooking class for a group of 10 friends. She worked closely with me ahead of time, so that everyone knew what to bring and what to expect. She covered so many basic cooking techniques as we made 4 main dishes (knife skills, sauteeing vs poaching, braising, searing, making a buerre blanc and a red wine reduction sauce, so many things!). Throughout the afternoon, we all kept saying "Now I know what I've been doing wrong!" She arrived at the house as expected, allowing her plenty of time to setup and prepare for our arrival. She had all the food, directions and necessary equipment. She was patient with all our questions, and cheerfully went off agenda based on our questions. She was calm, cool and collected, and very organized, as 10 of us moved around the kitchen (imagine "herding cats"), all wanting to try each technique. At the end, we had this amazing dinner, and we were so proud of ourselves! Thank you, Karen! Everyone wants to do it again -- you know we're going to call you back!

I typically charge $35/hr for my time plus ingredients.

Usually i like to speak with a customer because this platform doesn't provide enough specifics. I'll ask a series of questions to hone in on your preferences/tastes and find out more about what you are really looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a culinary degree from New England Culinary Institute and have cooked/baked professionaly for over 30 yrs. i was recently the executive chef at the arizona sonoran desert museum.
