After another contractor failed to fix a leak in my roof, A Mountain Roofing saved the day for me. They did an inspection, drew up a proposal to fix the problem as well as handle necessary maintenance. All the work was done in a day with utmost professionalism. Best of all, during the rain over the last few days, the leak is definitely fixed. 2 year warranty. I'll definitely be calling them in a couple years when it's time to have the roof inspected once again.

Details: Shingles or tiles need to be repaired or replaced • Single-level building • 11 - 20 years old • Rubber • No, the project is not covered by an insurance claim • Residential

What is there to say? Excellent company that came in, looked things over and replaced my roof at a more than fair price. Jorge, the owner, kept me in the loop on what was going on. 2 1/2 days total to strip my roof down to plywood and then rebuild it back with up to date asphalt shingles.

Details: Full roof replacement • Roof is cracked or damaged • One story • 1,000 - 2,000 sq ft • 10 - 20 years old • Asphalt shingles • Yes, fully approved claim • Home

When we submitted our “project” on thumbtack Jorge was one of the first ones to get back to us. We shopped around for a few days and ended up using his company as they had a median price and he was responsive to questions and showed up to get an estimate done. My first and biggest complaint is that the whole reason we were having a new roof done is that water had penetrated the old shingles and ruined (3) different sections of decking/osb. (2) on the rear side of the house and (1) on the front side, note the front side was the worst and caused leakage into the interior roof and an interior hole so we could see the damaged osb from inside. A different roofer we received a quote from actually had me up on the roof, showing me the soft vs firm, damaged vs good sections so I know for a fact there were (3) spots. Jorge quoted us for (3) sheets of osb, to repair all three. Rear two were never done, they tore down to the old tar paper (also another complaint because they reused/left it) and then shingled right back over it. I tried communicating with the roof crew a few times but they didn’t speak English well or just chose not to communicate with me. Texting Jorge during the job was also not much use as it was normally end of day, long after our question, that he’d reply. When they went to do the front side of our home they did the same thing, tore down to old tar paper, and then started to shingle, at this point I had my wife blow up Jorge’s phone because the worst section of OSB definitely hadn’t been taken care of, as we could see it from inside the house. Upon finally getting ahold of Jorge, his crew wanted to come inside and see the hole, once they did it was like “shoot we’re caught now we gotta do it” and from inside it looks like only half a sheet got replaced. To top it all off, sure it’s only a couple hundred bucks, but no money was refunded for not repairing the other two or for supplies not used. Now onto a few smaller items, my skylight in my bathroom was reinstalled crooked and way off center, the drip edge does not lay down squarely on the roof in a few spots, thus negating the purpose of drip edge as water can get up underneath it. I’m a fine detail kinda guy, and when people/companies muck up the fine details, it makes me question the integrity of the whole job. Overall I’d be 50/50 to recommend, and I’d tell any potentials that if Jorge himself isn’t there, be prepared to micromanage if your roof involves anything more then coming off and going right back on.

Details: Shingles or tiles need to be repaired or replaced • Entire portions of roof need to be repaired • Flashing needs to be repaired or replaced • Single-level building • 21 - 30 years old • Asphalt shingles • No, the project is not covered by an insurance claim • Residential
