KLEAN Companies was hired to remove a tennis court and associated demolition debris from a property I was purchasing and to sod and re-seed the area with grass. The result was disastrous. Chunks of asphalt and concrete posts were pushed into piles into wooded areas of the property rather than removed from the property. Concrete and cut-off fence posts remained sticking up a couple inches above or flush with the ground all around the area. Some they attempted to hide some by piling dirt around them. The "seeded" area was un-mowable, containing dozens of chunks of asphalt (some 12+ inches), nails, and at least 6 fence posts that were cut off at ground level. They claim to have brought in top soil for the area to be seeded, but either didn't bring in nearly enough or else mixed it with all the class 5 gravel/rocks that had been the tennis court foundation. Basically, they threw grass seed over the gravel. After closing on the property, they made one or two poor attempts to finish removing debris but always would do the minimum. They would never return phone calls but instead would show up when I wasn't around (my wife just happened to be home). The very first phone call Ken (the owner) returned was him calling to say he had already lost too much money on the job and wasn't going to clean up any more. I had to spend about $5000 and months of my own time re-doing their work to make the area usable and mowable.

This job was contracted by the previous owner of the property. When this owner took possession, he claimed we'd not done the job to his specification. We had done the job to the specification of the contract and to the expectations of the previous owner who had contracted and paid us

Hired Ken and his guys to remove two large trees in December. First off, the crew left a HUGE mess all over our entire yard. We had 12+ large yard bags full of wood chips & tree limbs, that we personally cleaned up. They said they should grind into the ground - well where we did leave SOME wood chips? Yeah it completely killed that grass. We are now trying to have new sod put in, and we have discovered that the stump grinding we paid extra for (while they technically did twice) was all for naught;. The stumps are still 6 inches above grade, so we have pay $500 for our landscaper to rent the machine and do it himself, bc we can't do anything over these spots with giant tree stumps still there. Communication was AWFUL. We tried getting ahold of them for weeks to ask about coming back out - well Ken just showed up one day, without even letting us know, so we couldn't be there to show him what really needed to be corrected. I was very thankful for his willingness to come back out, but it's evident he just did it to say he did. My landscaper said he's never seen such a bad stump grinding job. Ken was a very nice guy - but communication completely broke down, and ultimately, I'm spending a ton of money hiring someone to do the job we paid them for and they couldn't get done.

I called Klean Companies on 4/3/21 and spoke with Ken and stated that I was looking to have some low maintenance landscaping and spring cleanup done. Ken asked me to text him and said that he would get back to me in a couple of days. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM or anyone from this company. I texted him again on 4/9/21 and advised of my disappointment and frustration and AGAIN NO RESPONSE. Not sure why Ken answered the phone if he/this company didn't need/want my business.I texted twice. They went through. You would also have had my number on caller ID so could have called and said did not get your text. I have contracted with someone else and they have already cleaned up my yard and will begin landscaping project soon.

Contacted KLEAN Tree Companies LLC on April 28th to remove 2 trees from my house. A guy finally came out on May 3rd and gave me a $1,100 quote. I told him that I wanted to move forward with the removal. The guy (I did not get his name, but assuming he is the owner) told me that he would email the contract. When I didn't receive the contract, I contacted him (KLEAN) on May 8th and finally he emailed me the contract. I agreed and he told me that he had scheduled me 2 weeks out and that if anything changes, due to weather, he would let me know. After waiting 2 weeks and no one came by to cut the trees, nor contacted me, I contacted him to find out when he will be coming. He then told me that "somehow, you're not on my list." What!? He went on to say that he can schedule me in 2 more weeks. When I asked him how can he assure me that this won't happen again, his response was "I can't and you need to decide." REALLY? This company was a waste of time. Poor communication, unreliable, lack professionalism and terrible customer service. I would not recommend KLEAN Tree Companies LLC to anyone looking for tree service.
