My name is Carl Joyce. I am a USTA P-1 certified teaching pro with 30 years of experience. I was ranked top 20 in GA as a junior and #2 in the state in men's open.
I coached the Oak Park High School Boys and Girls tennis teams from 2004-2022 and now do lessons at Lindero Country Club in Agoura Hills. I train juniors of all ages and adults as well.
Our junior clinics are Mondays and Wednesdays 4:20-6 for ALL LEVELS. Private training along with the clinics for extra practice is the best way to prepare kids for tournaments and High School Varsity level competition! Rates are $80/half-hour and $140/hr.

I’m excited to see the improvements my 9th grade son is making after participating in Carl’s tennis clinics at Lindero CC. The clinics are affordable and regularly scheduled. An experienced player and former head coach of many top performing local boys and girls high school tennis teams, Carl relates well to his students that are looking to take their game to next level, as well as those new to the sport.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Clinics are a less expensive alternative to private 1-on 1 training, and that’s a great way to get kids started and making new tennis friends on the courts. However, because of the technical aspect of stroke production, private lessons are highly encouraged to not develop bad habits which can be detrimental to advancing later in their tennis career
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss availability and ability level, I provide rackets if needed and then we try to set up a weekly recurring time slot for private lesson that works for them each week , adding clinics and tournaments as they improve
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was ranked top 20 in Georgia as a junior and 2 in the state for Men’s Open division as an adult. I also passed the USPTA P-1 coaching certification class before making the move to California back in 2003. I have been coaching since I was 15, running summer camps with 50-80 kids , doing hitting lessons with national level juniors and also teaching privately
