About
Welcome to Clizia Design.
I’m an experienced interior designer with 20 years in the industry, currently working as a Store Concepts Manager for a large retail company and soon volunteering as an interior designer with Make-A-Wish.
As a single mom running a one-person studio, I’m selective about the projects I accept. That means if we decide to work together, you’ll have my full attention and commitment. I focus on thoughtful, sustainable design that balances beauty and function, creating spaces that truly reflect how you live.
If this approach resonates with you, I’d love to learn more about your project and see if we’re a great fit.

I hired Serena to help me with a laundry room update (full renovation to add a half bath). I needed someone to manage the selection of materials, communication with contractor, tile-layer, cabinet-maker, etc. Serena was very hands on, working directly with each of the workers. She created a slide presentation with design options and ideas, drove me to easily select all my materials from lighting, towel racks, sinks, faucets, tiles, cabinet handles, paint colors, etc. Most of the time, she was quick to respond to me and remained very involved in all aspects of the work.
Details: Design of 1 - 2 rooms • Bathroom(s) • Less than 500 sq ft • Space planning / layout • Furniture selection • Traditional • My home, venue, etc.

Where do I even begin with how INCREDIBLE Serena is?! She is a very talented interiordesigner! I recently had my consultation with her and she showed up on time (actually several minutes early) and started sharing her ideas right away. My apartment is a medium size studio and she was able to give me vision of all the potential it has that I wouldn't have been able to see without her. She has so many great ideas that I never could have come up with on my own. Whether you're planning to furnish an entire home or rejuvenate an existing space, Serena will help you with her sophisticated style. I seriously can't recommend Serena enough!

Serena is an amazing designer and a great professional to work with. She helped us furnishing our one-bedroom apartment, proposing several solutions and combinations and selecting many pieces of furniture and lightning. She even designed some custom-made pieces that would be a better fit for our space, and had them built and assembled by one of her subcontractors. We were very happy with the final result. Serena has an exceptional talent for finding solutions to organize the space that are practical but look modern and sophisticated at the same time. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone wishing to put some color and style in their home!

We enjoyed working with Serena Zanello on our update project for our home. She is true professional. She began with a long conversation with us over colors, styles, preferences and patterns. As we worked with her design suggestions, we were able to come to consensus on furniture styles and wall colors; she was able to come up with colors that my husband and I could both accept. She was very patient as we worked our way through many choices, and she sent us many possibilities and combinations which would work together, give us the update we were looking for, and satisfy us both. She really opened my mind to new possibilities that took into account our preferences and needs. She chose two very professional subcontractors, to paint and to install the flooring. Their work was detailed, accurate and careful, and clean. We are very happy with the final process of floor, wall colors, tables, chairs, sofas and lighting that fulfill the functions we need and fit our sense of beauty and form. Her choices, suggestions and enthusiasm made the final result come together beautifully. We would certainly work with her again and recommend her highly.

I really loved working with Serena and will go to her for future projects as well. She has a highly professional, creative eye for design and can also make recommendations on architectural aspects which has been very nice. I especially appreciate her fresh, personalized and out of the box ideas, color palettes and furniture choices. Our house doesn't look like a staid page from a catalog but looks uniquely us while still being modern and stylish and comfy. Thank you Serena!
