Miguel explained my daughter's Calculus 1 Math problem really well. His knowledge and concept about this subject is very good. We will be planning to have another tutoring lesson with him very soon! We highly recommend him as a tutor! Best, DeepaOct 27, 2019Verified
The tutoring session was more than excellent. He is such a wonderful tutor. I could see how much he enjoys teaching and making sure you understand the concept. He is very responsible, professional and has an outstanding work ethic. Will definitely schedule him for future sessions. The subject i needed help with, was pre calculus, and after the session, I feel more confident. Thank you!!May 3, 2020Verified
Miguel is a great tutor. My niece has her geometry final on Monday and she feels more confident about her test with Miguel in her corner! He was easy to book, punctual, and has a great way of explaining material to her. Highly recommend!Jan 7, 2020Verified

Our teenage twins were struggling with keeping up in Geometry, according to them every week the teachers were introducing a new concept. We signed them up for after school tutorial with the school, which helped but nightly they were both going to bed stressed out. Today, while my daughter was preparing breakfast she started crying. I sat them down and told them I didn’t want to see them stressing and at this point I will settle for them passing the class with a C this semester just to take their stress levels down and asked if they wanted outside tutoring. They both jumped at the opportunity, long story short. After reading reviews of several tutors Miguel was very responsive and ready to work with them on the spot. We jumped at the opportunity and they completed 2 hours of tutorial with him. According to the kids...it was worth it!! We have already scheduled another session and we intend to continue working with Miguel. Thank you Miguel!! Update to our initial review 12.20.19: Our twins passed their end of semester Geometry finals with 82 and 80...keep in mind they were struggling. We still continue to tutor with Miguel weekly, we on on break for Christmas and will continue to use his services. I sent a screenshot of their GPA to their dad and he said Awesome job done by us and the tutor.Dec 20, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My in-person rate increases the further I need to travel from Albany CA ($50 to $200 an hour). My rate is $35/hour for online tutoring via zoom, skype, or google hangouts. If you live or meet me near Albany CA my rate will be $50/hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I would like get as much background information about the student/tutee that I will be supporting during our session. Examples of background information include subject (such as calculus, chemistry, physics, ect.), topic (adding fractions, finding the derivative, electronic configurations, ect.), learning differences that the student may have or areas in which the student struggles, student's strengths and weaknesses. If the student can explain this to me even better!
