About
Tutors for Charity is distinctive for being at the intersection of education and compassion, of learning and empathy. Far too many educational providers today emphasize only grades and test scores and nothing much else. At Tutors for Charity, we believe in the holistic development of the student, and care deeply about each student's physical, mental, emotional and social well-being as well as their connection to family, friends and community.
It all begins with the smile of one student, when things "just click" and you see their improvement in confidence, sociability, demeanor as well as grades.

I passed Chemistry! And I could not have done without Francis. I am an A student but this class was very challenging due it being a 5 unit science class condensed into a 5 week Summer course at LATTC. The time spent in lecture was useless. But thankfully, Francis was able to teach me everything I needed to learn for chemistry. He was flexible with his time, which I appreciated since I needed four hours or more at times. He was also easy to communicate with and very supportive. He would usually text after each exam to see how I did.
Highly recommend Francis. And will be using him again for my next class in anatomy!

I contacted Francis to help my 15 year old son with Chemistry. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he was able to tutor my son in Geometry as well. Francis is an excellent tutor! My son's grades have improved dramatically in a very short period of time. Francis is very patient and explains things in a way that makes it easy for my son to understand. Most importantly, his primary concern is that the student actually learns the material. Like most high schoolers, my son sometimes has sports and other activities that interfere with our usual tutoring time. Francis is flexible and makes every effort to accommodate us, even if it means he has to work later in the evening or on the weekends. It is wonderful and extremely helpful for my son to have the option of working on Chemistry, Geometry, or both in one session. Francis is knowledgeable, caring and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

"This is the very best experience we've ever had. We are ever so pleased with Mr. Muralidharan, he is the greatest tutor my high schooler could ever have. My son went from D's and F's to A's and B's within less than one month! We plan on having Mr. Muralidharan as our family tutor and friend permanently... He's a keeper!" 😊

We've hired tutors from the HS, and other private tutors, and find that this has been the best experience for our son yet! In terms of improved success in school work and grades, this is the best investment we've made in tutoring so far. And this improvement in our son's confidence has been amazing as a result. They are extremely flexible and provide excellent feedback. Ask for Francis!
