I hired him to tile my kitchen floor and bathrooms as part of a remodel, and unfortunately I’ve experienced multiple issues since the work was completed. There appeared to be very limited knowledge regarding proper waterproofing, which led to several problems afterward. One of the most basic expectations was having a level, flat tile floor, but that was not achieved. The uneven installation resulted in a wobbly toilet that was not properly shimmed or secured. This eventually caused weeks of leaking water and sewage to my first-floor ceiling. My biggest concern is the lack of follow-up. I reached out and simply asked him to come back and fix the wobbly toilet — something that likely would have taken only a couple of hours — but I received no response. I paid approximately $10,000 in cash for this work. I truly wish I had held back a portion of the payment until everything was confirmed to be properly completed. At this point, I may need to explore legal options to address the repairs. I would strongly encourage others to thoroughly verify experience with waterproofing, proper leveling, and fixture installation before hiring.
