Introduction: I am constantly learning and trying new techniques and products. I keep up with the latest red carpet trends for makeup as well as how to create the best monster or alien effects! I am always acutely aware of the client's comfort as I work, taking special care to be as upbeat or low key as the situation calls for. I am "over 35" myself, and I am well versed in techniques to enhance the beauty of women (and men) of all ages. My favorite moment is to hand my client a mirror and hear them exclaim, "Wow! That's amazing!" In general, I enjoy the creativity and especially so when it's collaborative.

Lisa is an amazingly talented make-up artist who has the rare ability to be both personable in her demeanor while remaining meticulous in her application. She's got a great eye and clearly invests enormous care what she does. Her skill set is far-reaching: beauty make-up, air brushing, prosthetics, staff supervision; she can do it all-- and her final looks are unmatched. I have been blessed to have her do my set make-up numerous times, and there is frankly no one whom I trust more. If you are fortunate enough to have an opportunity to work with her...snag it! Her work and positive demeanor will surely benefit any project that has need of a stellar make-up artist.

Lisa did an excellent makeup job on me for Star Trek Continues. Especially when she had to make me look younger -not an easy job. She worked on my makeup for the whole shoot. She is extremely patient and easy to work with and very knowledgeable about her craft.

Lisa Hansell was the key makeup artist and hair stylist on my short horror film, "Pray With Us." She did an outstanding job and went above and beyond what was asked of her. She was always on time, professional and did a knock out job making us look good! I will definitely use her in the future. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Oh, Yes! I am constantly reading, watching instructional videos, talking with other artists and attending workshops, seminars and trade shows. I can easily lose track of all time soaking it all up!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I mostly work in film or internet productions. I have worked in theater somewhat and also for private clients for events and weddings. We are most often called upon for beauty makeup and mens grooming, but offering FX and props makes us more of a one-stop-shop!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently supervised the makeup team on a feature film with 62 characters - 15 of them in prosthetic makeup. We supervised up to 12 artists in 2 rooms and the result was amazing. Sleep was much needed afterward!
