We had the outside of our 3,200 sq. ft. wood and stucco home and a standalone garden cottage repainted and the entire process from start to finish was excellent. I could not ask for more in a painter. Richard and his team simply were outstanding. I could not give any contractor higher ratings and would strongly recommend him to others. We needed considerable wood replaced and his carpentry work was top notch. The prep work on the house prior to painting was absolutely meticulous, and then two coats of primer and two coats of trim and siding paint just transformed our home. Throughout the process Richard was kind and considerate. He kept the worksite clean and tidy and was such a pleasant and professional person. At the end of the project, I was actually sad to see him leave. He receives my highest ratings possible and my strongest recommendations.

Richard is wonderful. I got 4 different quotes for this job and chose Richard for multiple reasons...his price was VERY competitive, he took a long time to thoroughly inspect my walls before providing his assessment/pricing (lots of running his hands along the walls showing me examples of what he would fix and how), his dedication to doing the job right (multiple coats of primer and THEN multiple coats of paint), and the fact that the prep time he built in was longer than other vendors quoted me for the ENTIRE job. He is respectful and was very accommodating to our indecisiveness on colors and sheens throughout the house. We wanted to try doing vertical stripes using the same color but different sheens to provide a subtle pattern to the wall. When Richard did what we asked and it didn’t look good, he offered to completely repaint the striped walls with different sheens and it looks amazing. I have plaster walls that had a lot of poorly patched damage before I moved in and Richard took a ton of time to hand sand all these imperfections and smooth everything out. You can see a lot of that patching in the photos attached. Other painters told me there was nothing they could do with these problem areas. I wholeheartedly endorse Richard and look forward to hiring him again in the future.

Update: he and his colleague, Orlando, have finished the work inside the house and are now working on the garage. Our electrician ended up punching new holes on walls they had previously painted; Richard and Orlando dutifully patched and painted them over. The holes he patched and painted over are indiscernible, you would never know there were holes there. Once again, Richard and Orlando have been excellent from the start; their prices were very good, they are very communicative and their workmanship is top-notch. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for any other drywall/painting/stucco work we need. Thank you again! Original review: We have hired Richard to remove acoustic ("popcorn") ceiling and to paint our interiors, as well as to patch holes left by our electrician (who is working in parallel). The work is in progress but Richard and his assistant have been excellent; the ceilings look fantastic (the acoustic ceiling is removed and they've sanded it down), and they are also very good about coordinating with the electrician to make sure they are using their time judiciously. Because of the quality of his work we've just hired him to finish our garage. We're looking forward to the end result!

Richard Martinez and his crew did extensive repair to the exterior wood and stucco of our home and then primed and painted the exterior surface. They did an exceptional job! Their attention to detail demonstrated their skill and even had our neighbors commenting. They were a pleasure to work with and were very accommodating to our needs and many questions. They spent nearly two weeks completing the job and each day cleaned up, protected our property, and made sure it was completely accessible to us when they left for the day. I had four contractors give us estimates for the job and it was Richard's sincerity and honest approach that was the reason I chose him. He was not the least expensive, but I am ultimately satisfied with my choice. I would certainly recommend him highly.

Showed up on time everyday. Made sure to walk through all steps as they were completed, and finished in a very timely matter. Only thing was the stucco clean up could have been better, I have DG could have been covered better. But I will recommend to anyone looking to get house painted.
