Gerard is a talented and careful woodworker! You can tell he really cares about the details and quality of his work. I asked him to refinish a chair and it was done beautifully -- I couldn't have asked for more! He is also responsive and easy to work with.

Gerard was wonderful to work with! I have a family heirloom cabinet that was damaged in shipping - pieces of wood were broken off, the door was detached, and the top of the cabinet was essentially ripped off. Gerard took the piece apart, fixed it, and put it back together so that our family can continue to love it! He was also highly professional and responsive throughout. Highly recommend!
Details: Repair scratches, dents, or cracks • Repair broken furniture • Dresser • Wood • My home, venue, etc.

Gerard refinished and repaired my solid wood dining table and chairs. He is very knowledge about his trade and detailed the steps on the job he did for us. He did a beautiful job matching it to another piece of furniture I own.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly is $175 an hour for new clients. I charge time and materials. Materials are paid upfront, weekly progress payments for jobs that take more than one week. Payment in full is due at time of completion.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to speak on the phone once email contact has been made, then set up an initial meeting. I prefer in person meetings. I do site visits, customers are welcome to visit me at my shop by appointment ( this is shop policy). Once we have decided on details and cost of project. I provide an estimate of cost, time line for construction and installation. I do installation for some jobs, for others I recommend having it installed by someone else ie: custom doors. It's usually less expensive to hire someone else to install a door, fence, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am from France. It was there I apprenticed for 6 years. I started working in Bay Area 20 years ago. Prior to my move to US I worked in France and Montreal.
