Introduction: I have been in practice as an attorney since 1989. My work experience has included the following: • Representing plaintiffs in personal injury case including medical malpractice, products liability, dog bite cases and all manner of negligent and intentional tort cases • Representing plaintiffs in construction defect cases including representing all of the families who lost loved ones in the Northridge Meadows apartment collapse in 1994 (with Castro and associates) • Representing contractors and developers in construction defect cases • Representing defendants in catastrophic injury and death cases including medical malpractice, products liability and construction injury cases (from 1996 to 2001) • Representing litigants in family law matters including divorce, custody and visitation, paternity and child and spousal support actions At the end of 2001, I made the decision to start my own practice specializing in family law matters. My decision to redirect my focus on family law cases stemmed from my own experience as a party to a divorce, and my desire to help others through their own difficult times.
