I have loved working with Ashley and her team! I have not felt confident when it comes to fashion and making outfits feel complete. For years, I felt like I was dressing for work roles rather than being myself, and since entering my 30s and having two kids, I've felt unsure about what looks best on my body - and how to keep up with trends in a way that works for me. Ashley and her team helped my revamp my Fall/Winter wardrobe, finding clothes that feel like me and that I can use interchangeably across work, weekends and evenings out. They helped me understand what colors and shapes suit me best, how to combine clothes for my body, and which touches help an outfit look finished. The process did require a time investment, especially since we did this remotely, but Ashley and the team made it smooth and fun. I appreciate that Ashley listens to my feedback and is open with her own, helping me see the potential in items I might not normally have considered while still feeling safe and supported in my decisions. I'm leaving this process feeling much more confident about dressing my body. I love that I have a Look Book for the days I don't want to think about what to wear - and also a much better understanding of how to create looks on my own.

Working with Ashley and her team was absolutely the jumpstart I needed for breaking out of my fashion rut. I was really hating everything in my closet and told Ashley that while I don't need a *whole* new wardrobe, I do want some pieces I can get excited about. I also wanted to be really smart about investing in pieces I can wear for a really long time. She 100% delivered—she came over to my house and made specific piles of what to keep, what to donate, and what was honestly no longer serving me. It was great because it didn't feel like someone was "telling" me what not to wear...it was more like a fashion therapy session where she helped me realize what clothes would make me feel like the best version of me. She even showed me how a few tops I had thought about throwing out could be paired with some new pants in a way I had never thought about! Genius! I only purchased a few things but the shopping part was so efficient too. Everything got sent to my house and I tried it on over Zoom. For the one item I exchanged, her team sent me the label for it and took care of tracking the packages so I never had to worry about it. I can't stress enough how EASY this process was. Ashley does an incredible job of listening without judgement, sticking to the budget, and making outfits I actually get excited about wearing. If you're wondering about working with a stylist, just go for it! I highly recommend AC.Styles :)

My husband found Ashley online and was very impressed after a phone call with her. He gave me a meeting with Ashley for the holidays. Although reluctant, I scheduled the meeting. Ashley was warm, knowledgeable, and inspired lots of hope for my future style. She seemed to pick up on my likes/dislikes quickly, while encouraging me to take risks also. After the call, I knew I wanted to move forward with the full styling. I'm so glad I did!! Ashley showed up to my house with tons of clothes and literally nailed every piece. She found jeans of different styles that flatter my body and fit super well, the most perfect leather jacket, blazers that I love, shoes that complete the style, and other items! I immediately wore my new outfits to work and felt completely transformed. I'm so happy that I moved forward with Ashley and her team!

I found Ashley through Thumbtack, where I had been searching for an accomplished stylist who could help me reach my personal style goals. After doing phone consults with 3 different stylists in the Bay Area, I chose to move forward with Ashley as my stylist and wardrobe consultant—a move that paid off handsomely! I explained to her my goal of creating 3 to 4 kick-ass looks for an upcoming lifestyle shoot—to capture me in my best light for dating apps, LinkedIn headshots, etc. I was also interested in auditing my existing day-to-day wardrobe and exploring ways to level it up! Ashley responded promptly to my inquiry on Thumbtack, and was very supportive of my goals. We started with a 15-minute video consult, which gave us both a chance to introduce ourselves—it also gave Ashley an opportunity to see some of my go-to clothing pieces, and get a sense of which essentials were missing from my closet. Ashley was very attentive in asking what kinds of clothes I normally wear in different contexts—like work, going out, etc. From there, we were off to the races. Ashley got to work quickly, scheduling me in as part of her Friday shopping session. Initially, I was skeptical about bypassing the in-person shopping experience and handling all of the try-ons at home. In hindsight, I had nothing to worry about. Ashley knows what she is doing. We scheduled my initial home try-on session for Saturday—just 3 days after the initial video consult. Ashley showed up on my doorstep laden with several giant shopping bags full of hand-picked clothing for me to try on. I knew I was in for a treat. Together we spent the next 2-3 hours evaluating all the new pieces, and seeing how each could be integrated in with my existing apparel. Ashley snapped photos of each look she styled and had me keep them for reference. By the time we finished, she had styled over 10 looks, and had a clear idea of which pieces were working, which were not, and which would need to be exchanged for a better fit. On top of that, Ashley is friendly and easy to converse with. You can tell she enjoys what she's doing! We closed the loop a few weeks later with a follow-up session. Ashley helped me to fill in all of the missing essentials, from joggers to leather jackets to suits. She also covered smaller items like belts and pocket squares. Pulling from a mix of brick-and-mortar stores, like Bloomingdales and Nordstrom, and online brands, like Allbirds and Scotch & Soda, Ashley was sensitive to my desired budget, and was able to find most of the items on sale, usually upwards of 25% to 40% off! We finished up the second session with another 12+ looks that she'd arranged and documented. After that follow-up, she emailed me a few more resources and product recommendations to help keep my new clothes well-maintained. I would absolutely follow through with this process again. Ashley did an amazing job with the project, and did so in a short amount of time. Do not underestimate the power of having a professional in your corner. It will save you time, money, and frustration. I am very excited for my upcoming shoot, and I can't wait to see how these looks shine on camera! Thanks again, Ashley. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, you’ll fill out a quick application outlining your preferences, budget, and schedule. We'll review this, and on our complimentary intro call determine a best course of action for getting you the style results you want. Once you've signed on to work with us, we'll guide you through every step of your style journey with our well-tested, flexible system. We say "flexible" because no two style journeys are identical, and each experience is catered to your needs, whether it's shopping, closet organizing, or putting outfits together. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I (Ashley) have a degree in Fashion Retail Management from Columbia College Chicago. I've been a wardrobe stylist for 10+ years and have styled over 1k individuals! My team consists of best-in-class members from fashion tech, retail, and customer service industries.
