- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mom was a braid specialist working out of a salon and home specialing in all sorts of braids, locks and dreads and extensions. My mom had five girls and I learned to help her being the oldest.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask a lot of questions and get a consultation from a professional stylist before you sit in ANYONES CHAIR!!! A lot of people are stealing pictures and portraying others peoples art, then when you're all done, it's not what you expected it to be. So be very careful. Don't always settle for what's cheap because you get what you pay for. Evaluate quality and do your research.
