I found Janet on Thumbtack 2 years ago and when I met her, I knew immediately that she is knowledgeable, honest, takes pride in her work and all around nice person. That's the kind of person you want to work with. I had her redesign and reset a few rings, earrings (I even had her do my ear piercing for me. She's a pro! I didn't even feel it) over the years. And our current project are my tiffany necklace. Can't wait to see what she comes up with it!!!
Why did it take me 2 years before I write this review? Because I don't normally write reviews but Rothstein Jewelers has been my go to for all my jewelry needs and projects that I wanted to give them props. They are so honest that they won't steer you wrong just for financial gain.
Take my word for it, give them a try and you will thank me.

Janet was amazing. She fixed my necklace of which the chain had broken all within minutes and due to the type of incident kindly hadn’t charged me anything. She was very kind, professional, and skilled at her work. I have a new jewelry repair shop! Thank you so much Janet!

Janet custom designed a special pendant for me the cast of Disney's Austin and Ally. It was a unique request in that the pendant was to be created, and then separated into mini pendants - so that all 4 cast members could each wear one piece of the whole. Janet managed to complete the project within a few days - (My time frame was TIGHT! Sometimes the best ideas come at the last minute.) She went that extra mile to ensure that I got exactly what I wanted. It is an incredibly beautiful piece of jewelry, and the service was unbelievable and the price was reasonable. I can't say enough about Janet and Rothstein Jewelers!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge less than other designers because our overhead is lower. Also, we are not greedy, and we treat people the way we would like to be treated.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually have the client send me pictures of what's on their mind. This includes drawings, photos, Pinterest pics, & Internet links.
I find out what are the most important aspects of their project, & their approx. budget. Then we meet in person.
We make computer generated pictures for custom designs, or start making something by hand if desired.
We communicate after every step is finished.
It's a team effort, the client being the most important team member.
