FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes I do. You can choose to purchase one lesson at a time or purchase packages of lessons which will make your lesson price cheaper. Private lessons are a little more pricey than group lessons, and depending on what the rider wants to work on I will suggest to them which lesson will be best for them. If you purchase a single private lesson the price is $45. If you buy a package of 4 private lessons the cost is $160. Or a package of 8 private lessons is $300. If you purchase a single group lesson the price is $30. If you buy a package of 4 group lessons then the price is $115. A package of 8 group lessons is $220. Or a package of 12 lessons is $300.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask my client what kind of experience they've had already, then match them with a horse based on their skill level and what they'd like to do. For example, if they want to learn how to do gymkhana, but don't have any riding experience I would match them to a horse that would help them learn how to do their patterns, but also wouldn't be too much horse for them either.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two associate degrees, one in Liberal Arts, the other in General studies with a science and math emphasis. As well as a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Sciences. I have ridden with several different trainers over the years, learning how to ride, western pleasure, english pleasure, hunter/jumper, barrel racing, dressage and gymkhana. I also am CHA certified in both english and western riding disciplines, and certified with the American Red Cross in First aid, CPR, and AED. I have been teaching both children and adults for almost 20 years in both english and western disciplines.
