FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I work with a new client, my goal is always to make the process smooth, clear, and focused on what they truly want for their outdoor space. Here’s how I typically work: 1. Initial Contact & Consultation Everything starts with a conversation. I listen to what the client needs — whether it’s a full yard makeover, tree trimming, clean-up, or regular maintenance. I ask questions, offer ideas, and sometimes do a walk-through of the property to understand the scope. 2. Free Estimate & Plan Once I understand the job, I provide a detailed estimate. I break down the work, time frame, materials, and pricing, so there are no surprises. If needed, I’ll sketch out a basic layout or vision to help the client visualize the result. 3. Scheduling & Prep Once we agree on everything, I schedule the job and gather all necessary equipment and materials ahead of time. I make sure the client is kept in the loop from start to finish. 4. Execution I treat every property like it’s my own. Whether it’s a 1-day job or a 5-day project, I show up on time, keep the work area clean, and get the job done with quality and efficiency. 5. Final Walk-Through When the job is done, I walk through everything with the client to make sure they’re happy. I don’t leave until they’re satisfied. 6. Follow-Up & Maintenance (If Needed) If the client wants ongoing maintenance or seasonal touch-ups, I can set up a plan that fits their schedule and budget.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My landscaping journey didn’t start with a business plan — it started with a shovel, a beat-up truck, and a strong work ethic. At first, I was just helping out friends and family, cleaning up yards, trimming trees, laying sod — whatever needed to be done. But every time I finished a job, I saw more than just a clean yard; I saw potential. Word started to spread. One small job turned into two, then into five. I realized I had a talent not just for the work, but for creating outdoor spaces people actually loved spending time in. So I took a leap, bought some better equipment, and officially started my business. It wasn’t easy in the beginning — long days, tough jobs, and building a name from scratch. But now, every yard I work on is a reminder of how far I’ve come and how much I love what I do. Landscaping isn’t just a job to me — it’s my passion and my path.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my most recent landscaping projects is one I’m especially proud of. The client wanted a complete transformation of their front and backyard — from an overgrown, unused space into a clean, functional, and beautiful outdoor area. Over the course of five days, I handled everything from clearing out old brush and debris, leveling the yard, installing new sod, trimming trees, and building a custom planter border with mulch and drought-tolerant plants. I also installed a small gravel pathway and refreshed the irrigation system to ensure everything would stay green and healthy. It was hard work, but seeing the end result — and the look on the client’s face — made it all worth it. Projects like this remind me why I love what I do.
