John quickly assessed my technique strengths and weaknesses and tailored our lesson to the specific areas I wanted to improve. He is friendly, patient, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. Even though we trained for only an hour, he improved my groundstrokes, serve and overhead. I am not a CA resident (I was visiting family on vacation), but next time I am in Carlsbad, I will definitely hire John for tennis lessons!

John is a great tennis coach. He is super patient and gives a lot of great instructions on how to improve your game. He makes the lessons fun and gives each player a lot of individual attention. I look forward to my lessons each week and would highly recommend John as a coach.

I cannot speak highly enough of John Tsumas, my former coach. Being a highly recruited junior tennis player, accepting a tennis scholarship to play for John Tsumas at the University of Utah was one of the best decisions of my life. Johns knowledge of the game is astounding, and he taught me so much about the tactical side of the game while identifying my personal strengths and tailoring a successful game style suited to my unique on court abilities. John was a huge support to me as a player throughout my college and professional career, helping me reach collegiate national highs of #58 in singles and #41 in doubles and establish myself as a WTA ranked player as well! Thanks, John. Youre the BEST!!
