Introduction: I capture more than a moment in an image as I seek to reflect the soul. It's all about connection to me and I believe the connection I form with my clients shines through the images. It's not just about the picture, it's about allowing someone to feel seen in who they are and that when my client looks at his or her pictures, they see more than that moment reflected back to them. We scheduled a family photo shoot with Joey based on work I had seen of hers that I was impressed by. The day of the shoot my two toddlers were nothing short of CRAZY. I thought it was impossible that would we get any good shots because of how difficult they were being. Joey continued to encourage us that she would capture them, not to worry. When the photos came back we were blown away with how wonderful they were!! We had hoped for just one good one but had at least 40+ to choose from. They continue to be the best photos we've captured of our family, of our children's personalities, and of the love between us all. I would give her nothing short of a RAVE review!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didn't... it found me. I was volunteering internationally and using photography to document my work. Other people saw my pictures and couldn't stop commenting on the powerful images looking back at them - after that I got asked to photograph all over the world (Brazil, Australia, Haiti, Guatemala, Egypt, Israel, Bali, etc).
